Growing zone for Callistemon Viminalis

Question

Generic name is Bottle brush tree (red bristles ). I am interested in a bush, not tree. Saw them as ornamental bushes on landscape yards in South Texas, but wondered if could grow in southern Michigan ? Don’t know my growing zone, but right now May 3 we are barely free of frost. Thanks.

You are in zone 6a and bottlebrush is hardy in zones 8b-11. You can still grow it in a large container and move it indoors in the winter, or an unheated garage
