Q.growing rhubarb

Zone Manchester, Michigan 48158 | srbmanchester added on August 24, 2017 | Answered

My newly planted small rhubarb plants have some leaves that are turning yellow. I want very much to have these plants survive and don’t know if the yellowing is an indication of improper soil or minerals.

The yellowing leaves in a new planting are likely watering issues. Too much or too little.
Soil should be moist but never dry or soggy. Make sure the soil is well draining.
Avoid watering down into the crown of the Rhubarb.
