Growing Bamboo In A Trough

Question

Hi, we want to use bamboo as a screen outside a bathroom window (instead of frosted glass or a blind), so it needs to be fairly dense (although we are not really overlooked). It is on a first floor balcony that’s not that easy to access. We only want it to grow about 2-3mt high, but I guess we can prune it to keep it that height -?? What type of bamboo would you suggest? Here are some articles about the types of bamboo and different varieties. I will caution you, we get a lot of emails from people who wish they never started bamboo. It may overtake your trough much faster than you think. I would get a clumping bamboo even if it will be in a container.
