Growing a peach tree from seed.

Is there "a right way up" to position the peach seed in the soil?

The absolute best way is to first remove the seed from the stone. If you can manage to crack this open, then it will be much faster to germinate, and more likely to do so. Please wear gloves, as these can be somewhat toxic out of the stone.
