Q.green pepper plants

Anonymous added on June 29, 2015 | Answered

I have a small garden in the city. I have grown green peppers for years with no problems. Wednesday my peppers were fine. Yesterday, several of them have large brown spots on the fruit (not the leaves) and are very soft in that area. I’ve never seen this before. I need some help!

If the spot in on the top of the fruit, then it is likely sunscald and is from too much direct sunlight. A simple shade will help stop it. If it is on the bottom of the fruit, then it is blossom end rot. This article will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pepper/pepper-blossom-end-rot.htm
