Q.Ginkgo Propagation With Branches

Dear All. i am struggling to successfully propagate ginkgo biloba from branches. i am based in South Africa….so currently summer season 🙂 I followed your instructions in the attached link… Thus far I only see unhappy leaves falling off my branches. i really would appreciate some extra advise.

I see a couple things from your photos that may help. One of the branches is hardwood. Try cutting a newer stem that is succulent growth. The stems can be shorter, too, and remove most of the leaves. You only need about 6 inches (15 cm). The other stem looks too thick. With a shorter stem, you can enclose the cutting in a plastic bag, which will act like a greenhouse.
