Q.Gerbera Daisy

Zone Savannah, GA | Barbara added on January 28, 2017 | Answered

Something has been neatly biting off the flowers as they come out – it is a very clean removal from the stem – and the flower is nowhere to be found. The leaves are not touched. It happens at night. Any ideas what would do this? Thanks.

Rabbits would be my guess- they usually make a very clean cut when they eat flowers. Deer, mice, and other mammals can eat flowers, but rabbits usually make the cleanest cut- and they seem to love daisies.
