Q.Gardenia Pests
A year ago I bought a beautiful gardenia plant, which I put in a big pot by the side of the house where it’s partially sunny. The plant has a lot of buds; however, there is a white, sticky substance by the stem of the bud which makes them fall off one by one. How can I get rid of of this pest to save the buds from falling off before they bloom? Thanks for your help.

It sounds like it is scale or aphids. I personally like to use neem oil on these pests. Here are some articles that will help you:
