Q.gardenia houseplant

Anonymous added on November 17, 2014 | Answered

I have a gardenia houseplant that was outside in the summer and now is inside. All the leaves have fallen off and it’s bare. Is it dead? If not, how do I care for it in this stage?

Was the plant acclimated prior to bringing it back indoors? This is an important step to prevent having it go into shock, which usually results in yellowing of the leaves and subsequent leaf drop.
