Q.Gardenia
My Mother received a Gardenia (Augusta) as a gift. I noticed the leaves seem to be covered with what looks like a spider web, yet sticky. I don’t see bugs.

This is likely from spider mites, which not only leave behind webbing as evidence of their presence but also honeydew (the sticky substance). Treating the plant with neem oil will help.
