Q.Fuchsia planted in hanging basket on deck
I was given two for Mother’s Day. They were quite full of greenery and several blooms. After watering and hanging in semi sun leaves began to drop in large numbers. I thought it might be shock from greenhouse growth. One plant survived quite well and is continuously blooming. The other was caught in a heavy wind and rain storm which resulted in pot being smashed against deck post and falling top down on steps. Once I discovered a few days later I placed in sturdier basket and watered when needed. I don’t know whether to cut back to woody stems to promote growth or what. It looks pretty sad and I would like to save if possible as there are several more growing months yet. I would appreciate any help and feedback. Thanks so much for providing this forum.

Fuchsia need a part sun location that is sheltered from the wind.
They prefer a cool location to grow in.
