I recently bought some Freesia corms/bulbs and I wanted to ask, is there any way of telling whether they are good or bad simply by sight or touch? Thank you.

Unless the corm is visibly rotten or smells moldy, I'm not sure you can tell except by simply planting them. See this article for proper storage:
