Q.Forget Me Not won’t bloom

Zone Northern Utah | kimmer61 added on July 13, 2015 | Answered

I’ve grown my Forget Me Not plant from seeds. I started it this past winter. Aside from an episode where my cat thought it was his to munch on, it has done pretty well. It just has not flowered. What am I doing wrong? I appreciate any advice you could give.

Some types of forget me nots are biennials. They won't bloom in the first year of growth. You aren't doing anything wrong. As long as it's alive, you're doing it right.

They do prefer a damp shady area, most likely it needs more moisture.

You can even mist the plant or sit it on a tray of stones with water to add humidity.

Also can try adding some Phosphorous, with Bone Meal to encourage blooming.
