Q.For Pine Needle Tea?
I live in N.C. and wanted to know if this type of needle is safe for drinking and what type it is. Thank-you for your help.

Some pines are poisonous, so it's better to locate a named tree that is not poisonous, rather than starting with one you're not sure of. There are too many types of pine trees to identify it for certain, especially if it will be used for tea. Your local extension agent may know what trees in your area are safe to use for tea. White pine I see mentioned as safe to use.
Some poisonous pines are Norway and Ponderosa pine as well as yews and Norfolk Island Pine.
