Q.Flowering Shrub For Zone 9b
I’m at wits end with a small corner of my garden. It’s the first place you see when you walk out to our patio. For that reason, I need a recommendation for a tall perennial or flowering shrub, perhaps in purple or blue or ??. My problem is that most of the year it’s shady but across from a bright south facing wall, so I’ve tried salvias and sunflowers, but they weren’t happy without enough sun. Hydrangeas get burned during the summer when it gets a couple of hours of hot afternoon sun. I loved the look and the fragrance of a brugmansia but it developed a fatal virus and did a slow death. Please get back to me asap.
