Q.Flower of the Veldt
I have a plot of garden over-run with long, leggy, woody-stemmed, pink daisy-like flowers that I am told are ‘flowers of the veldt.’ I should like to clear and dig the area but save a few small plants to plant elsewhere in the garden. Is it possible to take cuttings? If so, when is the best time to do this? Are there any special tips? Thank you.
These are Star-of-the-Veldt, also known as African daisies. These plants are annuals but will self-seed readily. If you want to keep some to place in another area of the garden, it is best to save some seeds or take cuttings in fall.
