We have grubs eating the new tips and some boring into small fruit on our fig trees. What insecticide should we use?

Another question, at what stage is a fig fertilized?

I like to use neem oil on edible plants for treating bugs. It is very effective on pests but is safe for people and pets. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm

Figs should only be fertilized if they show poor growth. Fertilizing can cause them to grow leaves rather than fruit. If your fig is showing poor growth, use a 10-10-10 fertilizer in the spring.
