Fig Tree With Small Figs Produced About 15

Question

My fig tree last year had about 5 great figs, this year the figs were very small and ripened too soon. Now, no figs and it b is starting to get a lot of new leaves. What can be wrong. I\’m in California zone 8. Is it going to have another crop of figs. Sho<ld I prune it?

It sounds like there may be too much nitrogen in your soil. A test will confirm.
