Q.Fig fruit that is dry and tasteless
We have a fig tree that must be 8 years old. It reaches to the roof of our porch, although I think we trimmed it a few years ago. The last two years, there have been fruit on our tree, but no flavor. Already we have had about six figs dropped on ground around tree, soft, but not purple or black still a little bit dark/brown or green. Every time I open, they are soft, but tasteless, the little feathery seeds soft but no flavor. I’ve not been careful with watering, so now I’m watering it daily. Will this help fruit to stay on tree until ripe and sweet? Will watering help fruit to become soft, moist, sweet? Thank you very much for your wisdom.
