Q.Fig Bush

Anonymous added on December 15, 2014 | Answered

I have a fig bush which I removed from from a friend’s garden, as it was in the way of a proposed extension. I planted this in a large pot and it has grown and provided fruit really well for this year. It has quite a lot of small fruit still left on its branches. Should I remove them or leave alone?

I would leave them on. While it won't hurt for them to be removed, the tree will shed them in its own time and, if the weather does not get too cold, may hold onto them for next year, which will give you a double crop.
