I wanted to fertilize and throw seed (overseed) on my lawn. Which should I apply first or does it matter?

It does not matter since you'll be putting them both down anyway. Just be sure to keep it well watered.

you can purchase lawn seed with the correct amount of fertiliser that is especially for seed at Bunnings or nursaries so like your previous answer from Nikki she gave you the right advise happy gardening Charles
