Failure At Growing Clematis

Question

I give up on Clematis. I am on my 4th try and nothing. The ones that dont die just fail to do anything. I water, I mulch, I fertilize correctly. They are in full sun, but I get nothing. No growth, no vine spread, no flowers. Nothing. Everything else I have from Vegs, to flowers to shrubs to trees all take off great and do what they are made to do, but never my clematis.

Unfortunately, I cannot say what is causing your issue. Many times, a little too much care is worse than neglect.
