Eucalyptus Dalrympleana

Question

I have recently bought the above in a pot and am awaiting a space in the garden to plant it. Should be soon? I have recently noticed a pale grey sticky growth on the tips of the branches, a bit like woolly aphids. Could you tell me what this is and how to treat it please?
