Q.Elderberries

Anonymous added on July 29, 2013 | Answered

I would like to know if what I picked were elderberries. They look like the ones that I picked many years ago in Pennsylvania. I found them in a field-like area near railroad tracks. They are tiny berries on a stem that is kind of pinkish in color near the cluster and then turns green. I just don’t want to be baking with the wrong kind of berry.

This link is to an article with a nice picture of elderberries and a description: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/elderberry/planting-elderberry.htm
