Earth Box

Question

I have an Earth Box and could not find this on their website. When I water some of my smaller tomato plants, I smell an odor that is similar to a pond of stagnant water. The boxes sit on the southern part of my yard that gets plenty of sunshine all day. I flush out the reservoir whenever I water but wonder if the fruit produced by these plants will be okay to consume.

I would check the drainage to ensure that it is not clogged or draining poorly and making the soil too wet. As for the fruit, they should still be fine to eat.
