Q.dying coral honeysuckle

Anonymous added on October 24, 2014 | Answered

Coral honeysuckles leaves started yellowing at bottom of vine. Adjusted water both ways, increased and decreased to no avail. Yellowing has progressed to top of vine and leaves fallen off. Sprayed leaves with garlic spray. Nothing. Used organic feeding – new shoots appeared, others still dying. What is the problem?

Is it possible that some tree has grown enough to shade the honeysuckle too much? Also, you might want to do (or have done) a soil analysis. Some growers have had good fortune with somewhat acidic soil.
