Q.Dwarf crape myrtle situation

Zone Brooklyn, NY 11232 | Anonymous added on August 11, 2019 | Answered

A month ago i bought a 7″ c.m. pot. It continously blooms, which inhibits the growth. I want to see it grow. Do I remove those buds as they keep coming and see new growth?

Yes, removing those can help, as well as feeding a higher nitrogen food. This will promote vegetative growth while inhibiting flowering growth. This article will help you to grow these in container: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/crepe-myrtle/tips-to-grow-crepe-myrtles-in-containers.htm
