Q.Drying Leaves on Some Branches

Anonymous added on June 30, 2012 | Answered

It seems like the leaves on some of the branches are drying out and maybe even dying. A few of the branches are still okay. I thought it was a watering problem, but it doesn’t seem to be helping with gentle watering. Our last winter was rather harsh and some of my other plants have expired. This tree seemed okay until the last heat wave that we had. I don’t understand why some branches are dying and others are okay. What can I do to save the tree?

First, prune out the dead or dying branches, as possible disease could promote spreading. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/tgen/what-does-a-dying-tree-look-like-signs-that-a-tree-is-dying.htm
