Q.Drooping new leaves on schefflera
Hi
I have got my schefflera almost 45 days back. It was around 3 feet tall and in a small pot. I had it reported in a larger clay pot and have placed it near my east facing French window.
Have also added fresh potting soil with a mix of 1/4th sand.
Plant is doing well. Watering 500ml every week.
I saw a sudden spurt of growth with new leaves and a few small branches.
The problem is that the older leaves are upright and green and yellow but the new ones, even after 3 weeks, are still green and drooping. Do not seem to have strength.
Have also used a water soluble fertiliser 2 weeks back. But no change.
New growth not happening but am fine with that.
Am in Dubai UAE. Current outdoor temperatures are between 20 and 28 deg C. Indoor temp is around 22 all the time.
Lots of adequate indirect light is available throughout the day time.
Please share feedback and what needs to be done to strengthen the drooping leaves and may be add more growth.
Thanks

They don't look unhealthy, and they will usually lose the undulation later. It likely needs just a little more light. Direct light is fine for an hour or two, and many times more indoors. The windows will usually filter out quite a bit of light.
You won't need to fertilize this too often. Once every few months will be plenty. This article will give you more information on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/schefflera/schefflera-plant-care.htm
Dear BushDoctor
Thanks for your response. Sorry about the rotated pics. Posted for the first time, did not know they will post like this.
Relieved to get clarity.
Thank you
