The main Cain is drying up.There is new growth at bottom.What should I do?

It will end up taking over. Likely, this is from infection due to overwatering. Fungicides will help.Make sure to cut the stalk as it dies off, and be sure to water, only, when the soil is dry down to about halfway into that container.
