Q.Do The Seed Pods On Tall Phlox Need To Dry Out On Stem To Reseed Themselves?
My tall phlox are done blooming and I want to clean up my garden. Can I cut back the stems before the seed pods dry out?

No, the seeds need to mature and dry on the plant before it is cut down. If it is a hybrid phlox, the seedlings will not look like the parent, and you may not want to wait for seed.
