The leaves on my Dieffenbachia are turning brown and also the new leaves. They look like the plant is very dry. I have checked the soil with moister tester and is a #2, is not in direct sunlight. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

Filtered sunlight is a good location for Dieffenbachia.
Also you may not be watering enough. Check the soil by inserting your finger an inch or so into the soil. If is is dry, you need to water. The soil should be consistently moist, but not soggy.
