When I put my acorn squash seedlings in the garden, should I treat them like my tomato plants and bury them deeper than they have been in the pot?

For this initial planting, plant them at the same depth, simply because they don't really like the extra stress of being transplanted. But, once they are established, you can bury parts of the stem to get them to root as well. This is a common technique done to provide insurance along the vine in case the base is attacked by pests or damaged.
