Zone 12180 | Kfazioli added on August 11, 2024 | Answered

This plant came in a dish garden but is now touching my ceiling! How can I cut it to re-root a smaller plant?

Good news! You can chop these to any height that you want! The main plant will sprout again. What gets cut off can be cut into segments and rooted in water, whether that be with rooting hormone or not. You can root them in soil, as well, but keeping the soil at the exact moisture level can be a little more tricky than in water, where there is no reason to worry about soil diseases taking hold in the moisture.
