I have crepe myrtles that I would like to move; when would be the best time to relocate them?

Using a shovel cut the roots now where you will make the root ball where you will be digging to move. Move in November or December. That seems to follow. With a shovel cut through the soil and roots in the same area where you plan to dig the plant up. Ideally this should be months in advance, but this should help a little wth the stress.
