Q.crepe myrtle life span

Zone 9 | theficuswrangler added on October 9, 2014 | Answered

My crepe myrtle is over 30 years old, and starting to look really thin. Is its lifespan over, or would it help to do something?

With adequate growing conditions, these trees may have an expected lifespan of up to 50 years, though most may only last about 20 years or so. Yours has certainly lived a long and prosperous life at 30. :)
