Why does my crepe myrtle keep coming back from the root? I’m in eastern Kentucky.

It's not unusual for plants to sprout from the roots, especially since Crepe Myrtles are similar to Lilac trees, which are famous for sprouting from the bottom. You could prune the new growth and either start new ones elsewhere or share them with friends or family.
