Crape Myrtle Tree With Problem On Leaves

I just brought home two Crape Myrtle trees that I purchased. Most of the leaves on one and all on the other have browning tips, and some leaves also have a reddish cast around the browning tip and some yellow as well. Is there something I can do to care for this problem? Is it a serious problem?

This indicates a watering issue. Either the trees are not getting enough water or there is something affecting the roots that is preventing the roots from taking up water.
