Q.Crape Myrtle Problem
I have some crape myrtles that are 25 years old. Today I decided to cut one down to the ground because it has been looking kind of shabby the last couple years. Well I discovered that one of the main trunks of the tree has like a hollow tunnel running through it. It was quite a thick trunk like the size of my forearm so I thought it would be hard to cut through but to my surprise it was quite easy because of the hollowness. Any suggestions on what that could be? Thank you so much for your time, Sandy.
