Compost pile

Question

I have a compost pile and regularly add to it. My problem is it disappears! Am I losing the new soil to the ground or what? Help please. Is this normal?

You could be losing it to water runoff. Try covering it with a tarp or placing a roof of some kind over it. You will need to manually add water every once in awhile to keep the pile healthy, but at least the rain won't be washing it all today.
