I have cow manure I got from a farm. It seems to have gotten moldy over the winter. It is in a large covered container. I want to add it to my garden this spring but afraid the mold might hurt the garden. Although food turns moldy in the compost bin. Hmmm…

Most people prefer to compost manure before using it on their gardens. The heat from the composting process destroys harmful organisms, and breaks down the manure so that plants aren't burned.
