Q.Colocasia Germination

Zone 03766 | Anonymous added on June 20, 2021 | Answered

I planted a colocasia bulb and it has 6 sprouts, one of which has two leaves. Should I cut off the other sprouts? I wish to have a single plant. Thank you, Paula

Unfortunately, if you wish to have a single plant, you will need to divide it off from the bulb, making sure that you get plenty of roots. Alternatively, you can divide this during dormancy, when it is nothing more than a rhizome again.
