Q.Clerodendrum Leaves Look Like Swiss Cheese
I have many clerodendrum bushes in my yard. They are beautiful with red flowers; the butterflies and hummers love them. However, they, as well as my salvia have leaves, both top and bottom of the plants look like Swiss cheese. What pest is causing this. How do I treat? My lawn people said it was snails. I’ve been treating for slugs and snails to no avail. Help.

Here are some common pests that leave holes. Spraying with an insecticidal soap will probably help. If it's slugs, try making it uncomfortable for them to move around by putting crushed eggshells under the plants. Diatomaceous earth does the same thing.
