Ok to use coffee grounds on cleome and hosta?

Cleome isn't picky about soil. You can use coffee grounds under any plant to add organic material to the soil. Used coffee grounds are neutral pH. You would have to use unwashed coffee grounds to get the benefit of acidity. Adding coffee grounds to the compost pile is a better idea.
