Q.Care of very tall bamboo

Anonymous added on April 12, 2016 | Answered

There was a mature bamboo in the garden when I moved into new home. It is thriving but lots of dead stems on it over winter. Do we leave this in tact or remove at base to let new growth? Would appreciate learning how to look after this beauty.

Kind regards

You can cut any dead stems at ground level with a horizontal cut.
