Just wonder if the hairy root that forms around the pots with canna lilies ,would produce new plants with out the bulb . Can I use the soil for other plants or I would end up with cannas . I appreciate your help very much Thank you Georgeta Mckenzie

No, you would need a portion of the vegetative part of the plant in order to reproduce. You can reuse the soil, but I would give the roots some time to decompose. This will help add back to the soil and keep rot at bay.
