Q.Can You Harvest And Save Dried Sunflower Seeds If Leaves Suddenly Developed Powdery Mildew

Full grown giant sunflowers have suddenly developed powdery mildew. Can I harvest the dried seeds for next year planting?

They can, given that you use an appropriate fungicide, like neem oil, but you should treat the plant first.
