Can You Dry Hedgehog Gourds?

Question

I would like to know if you can dry hedhog gourds as a whole fruit like other hardshell gourds for crafting and decoration .I saw someone mention it,in a gourdbook and would like aditional information. Also mentioned was the wax gourd .

Technically speaking, this is a member of the cucumber and true melon family, rather than a gourd. With this being said, it will act like a cucumber or melon and shrivel upon drying, unfortunately.
