Can the pygmy date palm be grown as a houseplant?

Yes, pygmy date palms can definitely be grown as indoor plants. Bright indirect sunlight (preferably from an east facing window with morning sun) will help it thrive. Plant it in moist, fertile and well-draining soil. Be careful not to over-water.
