Q.Can I Water The Pine Trees With Seventh Generation Dish Water?

Zone 80466 | Anonymous added on January 31, 2022 | Answered

I live in Nederland, Colorado and some of the Pines are turning brown around here. We are definitely experiencing drought and I have been dumping my dish water on the Pines and gardens. We use 7th generation products in the washing machine and in the dish water. Will I make the situation worse or better for the beloved pine trees if I use the dish water to give them extra water….Oh and how about the Aspen trees too.

I would say they are safe. All the products are biodegradable and don't accumulate. Here is a publication about using "gray water" to irrigate plants during a drought.
